  Over the years of business trips, I have stayed in at least a hundred hotels, but what truly inspired me to write this travelogue was Mels Weldon Dongguan Humen. It's not because it's the most luxurious, but because of its service that completely warmed me up on a weary night.
  The flight was delayed that day and landed at 10 pm. Dragging a suitcase to the hotel front desk, the tenth floor lobby was brightly lit. The girl who received me was wearing glasses, and her work badge read 'Customer Relations Director Li Min'. She didn't routinely ask 'do you have a reservation?' Instead, she first said, 'You've worked hard, did your flight be delayed today?' I was stunned for a moment - how did she know? Later, she found out that she saw the airline tag hanging on my luggage and noticed that I rubbed my eyes several times when I walked in.
  The check-in process was very fast, but she didn't rush to hand over the room card. • At the top of Humen, a peaceful night's sleep

  The first time I came to Humen was to meet an old friend whom I hadn't seen in a long time. He said firmly on the phone, 'Stay at Mels Weldon Dongguan Humen, you won't be disappointed.' So I dragged my luggage and arrived at this behemoth standing beside Humen Avenue in the twilight.
  To be honest, there is a gap in my heart when I first meet. The front desk was located on the tenth floor, and I waited for the elevator with my suitcase for a while. The lobby did not have the luxurious and oppressive atmosphere I had imagined. But at the moment when I finished checking in and brushed the door open, all my doubts were dispelled by the sight in front of me - I lived in a high-rise big bed room, and the whole side fell out of the window. The lights of Humen Town were like a river of stars hanging upside down. The light outline of Humen Bridge could be seen in the distance. The feeling of "standing in the clouds and watching the world" really hit me.
  The room is more spacious than expected. Living alone in a space of over fifty square meters can even feel luxurious. The bed is very soft, and there are two types of pillows to choose from, high and low. I chose a low pillow and slept until dawn - this is a rare gift for someone like me who knows beds all year round. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the bathtub was very large. Taking a hot bath to enjoy the night view was the most comfortable ten minutes of my night. However, to be fair, the hardware in the bathroom has a slight sense of age, and the water pressure of the showerhead is also average. After all, it is hardware from more than a decade ago, so we cannot demand too much.
  The next day's breakfast was the true highlight of this trip. The Hai Zhi Guang Restaurant is on the 61st floor, and as soon as the elevator door opened, I was stunned: 360 degree glass windows surrounded the surroundings, and the entire restaurant seemed to be suspended in the sky above the city. There are many kinds of food in the dining area, such as Cantonese noodles, freshly cooked Wonton noodles, western style baking, fresh cut fruits, and freshly ground coffee. I sat by the window with a plate in my hand, eating while watching the street slowly wake up under my feet. The traffic flowed like ants, and the sense of confusion made me feel unreal.
  When checking out, the front desk also gave a parking voucher as a surprise. In terms of shortcomings, the parking lot did take two turns to find, and the signs were not prominent enough. Please pay attention in advance next time.
  When I left, I turned around and glanced at the tall building. Mels Weldon Dongguan Humen is not the kind of internet famous hotel that makes people scream "wow", without exaggerated design or trendy smart gimmicks, but it stands firmly at the highest point of Humen, providing every guest with a clean room, a solid breakfast, and a good night's sleep without disturbance.
